It was good to get this collection, but was in the format of something gleaned from the computer as opposed to a "book". The pages are very much like those printed off the computer and scanned. It lacked any illustrations (it indicated that illustrations were in that area, but the book lacked any). I think that one of the charms of the author's creations was the illustrations. I was very disappointed and will recommend to the person for whom I purchased the book that it be returned.The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because it included poems I was interested in having.

As a boy back in the late 60's, I remember my grandfather reading from this book, particularly Little Orphant Annie.
When our daughter, Annie, said she had chosen Riley for her son's middle name, this is the first thing I thought of. Just after he was born I read the first poem to him. We've read here and there, once in a while ever since, and now we've competed the last -- a little over eight months later.
We are very glad for this book, for how it will help him learn about the arts in general, and a little of his Indiana heritage in particular.
